Why did you decide to go on the Yanayacu Research Trip?  When the honors program offers good opportunities, you want to take advantage of them.  I am a science major and they all link together.  I wanted to expand my resume.

What was the most important thing you learned?  You don't have to be an expert to enjoy or learn a subject.  The experience broadens your horizons.  It is good to be a well rounded person.  To have interactions with different people.

How has this experience changed you?   I love being on a trip that you don't know anyone and making friends.  It is nice to be a science geek.

What are your plans for the future?  First, I am going to finish my chemical/biological engineering degree.  After that, I might go to medical school or maybe do a PhD or masters in biological engineering.

What advice would you give a young scientist?  Start early!  Don't put it off!  If you have a question, don't ask.  Make yourself find the answer.  Research it.  Answer your own question!  Volunteer in a field you are interested in to find out if you like it.
