Why did you decide to go on the Yanayacu Research Trip?  I wanted to get out of Wyoming and travel and participate in an ongoing study.  I feel it will give me validity as a science teacher.

What was the most important thing you learned?  To be thankful for what you have.  Don't take the little things for granted.

How has this experience changed you?   I am more interested in entomology.  Ecuador is so different than Wyoming and how immense the tropical rainforest is.

What are your plans for the future?  I plan on living and teaching in Wyoming.  I would like to teach middle or high school science and continue going on research trips.

What advice would you give a young scientist?  Take as many different science classes as you can and find out what you are passionate about.  Be well rounded and find your passion.
